Undergrad Sustainability Scholars Program

Applications Due January 14, 2014

Open to students in all programs across campus, the Sustainability Scholars program gives students a unique opportunity to explore their interests in sustainability and develop sustainability leadership skills. In addition to the 11-credit course of study and co-curricular activities, each scholar is eligible to receive up to $3,000 to pursue a field-based experience. They can take a course offered by U-M, find one through another program, or create their own independent study project.

Students apply in January of their sophomore year, and begin the program the fall of their junior year. Transfer, non-traditional or junior students may also apply as long as they will not graduate prior to December 2015. Through the program, students will hone their leadership and problem-solving skills to help address sustainable solutions from an interdisciplinary, multi-variable systems approach.
