Project Healthcare is a summer internship [New York] designed to immerse undergraduates/post-baccalaureates in the realities of the healthcare field. Throughout the ten week [early June to mid-August] program participants perform clinical shifts in the Emergency Department (including the pediatric and psychiatric EDs), Operating Room, Recovery Room, Social Work, observe autopsies at the Chief Medical Examiner's office, ride on FDNY ambulances, and work on a research project.
