Looking for a chance to jump start your job or internship search?
Curious about what it's like to work in account management/sales and use negotiation and interpersonal skills daily?
Have you wondered what logistics companies do and why this field is growing so rapidly?

The Career Center announces a unique opportunity for students to get an insiders look into the role of account managers at two growing logistics companies in Chicago. Learn from recent graduates working in these roles currently, including UM alums. Total Quality Logistics (TQL) and Coyote Logistics have generously opened their doors to University of Michigan students to learn more about their companies, what a typical "day in the life" looks like, and tips to help you find success in this field. You will have opportunities to job shadow and participate in activities that simulate what it's like to do this type of work.

On Tuesday, October 15 (Fall Break), Career Center staff will be in Chicago to guide participants through on-site visits to TQL and Coyote offices. This is an all day event and students must be able to be present in Chicago to participate. The event will begin at 8:30 AM and conclude at approximately 3:00 PM.

Transportation by bus to Chicago (on Monday, October 14th) and back to Ann Arbor (on Tuesday, October 15th) will be available to students for a small fee. Student are responsible for their own overnight accommodations. More details about the day's event and trip logistics will be provided to participants who are selected.

Interested students must submit a resume and short essay to be considered. Applicants will be notified of their status following the September 22 deadline.

All majors are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to juniors and seniors.
