Student Activities Building - The Career Center
The Fall Career Expo is one of your first opportunities of the year to connect with employers from all over the nation. At this event, you have the opportunity to network with recruiters in order to get your foot in the door when applying to jobs, internships, or to explore different careers that fit your interests.
Whether you are a senior looking for employment post graduation or a freshman simply looking to explore, this event provides benefits to all students no matter what year. Many find this event overwhelming, but if you come join your program peers, Nick and Toni, we can help ease your nerves so you can get the most out of this experience.
When we were freshmen, we felt companies may or may not be interested in recruiting us very young. Despite those discouraging thoughts, we made consistent appearances to every career expo and developed more self-confidence from preparation even with the overwhelming nature of this event.
In a small group discussion, we will be highlighting our personal experience at numerous Expos to give tips on how to properly prepare your materials and communicate with recruiters, as well as answer any specific questions you may have.
